Blues and Roots radio is my favorite, but when I heard Jude Johnston, it was a new day. She isvan exceptional singer/songwriter who has my vote every time. She brings life into each song.Yea to Jude, i only want to hear her voice when I play music.
I am commenting on Jude Johnstone for the 3rd time and also the great interview by Artie Martello on his Blues and Roots Radio show. Over the last several years, I have heard many female singer/song writers and enjoy the sound and songs they write. But when Artie Martello interviewed Jude Johnstone, I turned the sound to the highest volume I could get on my phone. I cannot express what I heard. Her voice, even when she was just talking was expressive, she spoke of her life and how she got into the wild world of music. But, the sound of her voice was hypnotizing. The sound and the life of a blues artist came through and the songs she wrote came to life and I was hooked. I can say no more, just buy her album “A Women’s Work is Never Done, and see for yourself.
